Today was going to be a rainy day. I'm happy we got to see a lot of outside yesterday, because today was not going to be an outside day.
We parked up top by the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac.
It was about a 10 minute walk, so we ducked into a Canadian-made craft store. I liked this hand-crafted chess board of the US Civil War.
Here is the inside of the hotel. It was open to the public until 2PM, so we made sure to get here on time.
Since it was an indoor day, we took an underground tour of the ruins underneath the boardwalk. They discovered the ruins in 2008, the 400th anniversary of Quebec City, and made a museum out of it.

| some money they found |

From the terrace above, they show in glass the ruins below, meaning we can see out above in a few spots.
Each governor added extras to the building, so it kept growing and growing, until one day it burned down and they leveled it and forgot about it for over 100 years.
Here is some gourmet poutine at Le Chic Cafe. They invented poutine in Quebec City, so we had to try it here.
| I liked it |
We slowly made our way back to the car, and found a lot of opportunities for neat umbrella photos.
It is the city of fountains...
