A quick posting for a Friday. After I dropped him off at Little Red, I had some time to drive down to Verona to see if the splashpad where you divert the water to make a stream was working. It is one of Kai's favorite water activities, but I believe it was broken at the end of last year. Good news, it is working again.

While I was down there, I was curious about the Epic campus, but a little more curious since Jim Phillips mentioned it was the feature of a Wall St Journal YouTube post.

I got a chance to see the interior of some of the newer buildings. The YouTube post said the decorations and themes cost very little overall to Epic.

When I was there, I asked about a walking tour. They lady said that the tours were getting out of control, so you have to register in advance for them, and that there was no time available for the remainder of July and that tours were closed in August due to an event. However, since Heidi uses the software, she is exempt from needing a reservation of the walking tour, and can get in whenever she wants (and they basically said I'm welcome to not need a reservation as well). We'll have to take it up with them someday.

Today they got to take home their paper mache volcanoes. They made them earlier this week and I think he said they got to see them erupt today.

There was a tornado warning tonight, but Kai was really excited as he thought that meant we got to go to the basement. When we explained the difference between "watch," and "warning," he said he still wanted to go into the basement to play, so that's where we ended up.
