Today was a break between 1st grade and Little Red Preschool.

We had a few things to get done.

First off, we needed an oil change. One of the perks is the free coffee and hot chocolate.

His hot chocolate was too hot, so he used this fan from Sunset Ridge to try to cool it off.

In the end, he didn't like it, so I got to drink most of it.

In the kid area, there are all kinds of activities, like this drawing board.

After the oil change, he fell asleep in the car on the way back home, so I just unbuckled him in the garage and let him be while I did some odds and ends around the house. I always make sure that he can see me from the car, so I do most of my work from the kitchen with the door open between the house and the garage. 

After a haircut in Waunakee, we came back home to do some trimming of our bushes around the house.

That's it for Day 1 of summer break. I think we'll have more activity tomorrow with the first day of Little Red Preschool.
