Today we went to Eugster's Farm Market. It was a beautiful day and not too busy.
The first thing we did was make flower headdresses.
One of the popular things to do is water the garden. Lots of kids like to do it. The plants stay nice and green.
I spent the $2 for the goat food. It didn't take long for him to go through it.
The neat thing is that the zinnia field was still in good shape.

We had to make it back home to give us a little time to prep for our meeting with Ms. Judd.
Here is the final product we will give her. It includes a picture of Kai in Quebec City.
Here is the sign outside room 210 - Kai is now on the 2nd floor.
Ms. Judd seemed very nice and personable (those are Heidi's words). She was interested in what Kai saw in Canada and what he liked to do.

There are 19 kids in Kai's class. In his group of four seats will be Nridib (Ardro) to his left, Kiara diagonally across and Roen directly across.
Here are the mailboxes. We were happy to see Theron and Uma and their families. They are from Kai's kindergarten class, but were not part of his 1st grade.

Today before we go outside, we had to finish this letter we are going to give to Ms. Judd tomorrow. The only part left was the drawing.
Around 10:30, Namro, Nridib, Kai and I went to the library. I drove them there. It is something different to do.
| walking across the railroad track to the library |
They spent some time playing Minecraft. You can play the world as a team.
Namro was using some cheat codes to create a land with about a trillion chickens. Both Kai and Nridib thought it was funny.
Here is the cheat code he used to create all the chickens.
After lunch, they went up to the playground.
Then back home for just a little bit of water play.
Things were starting to slow down, so I asked Kai if he wanted to fit into his stroller...he barely fit in.
It took him for a tiny stroll.
After Heidi got back from her piano lesson, I finished reading "Fantastic Mr. Fox" to Kai and Heidi.

While I was working this morning, Kai had time to do one of his replica pictures. Every morning, at least one of our calendar pages he wants to keep so he can recreate it.
Here is him painting...
...then the side-by-side
In the afternoon, we spent a little of time at the library. While we were there, we met one of the kids we knew from his musical theater. They were playing with the animals.
After that girl left, we ended up seeing Owen. Owen is one of Kai's friends from Sunset Ridge. Owen and Kai have been in the same class every year so far.
Owen was there with his grandmother from Palatine, IL. The grandmother lives in Middleton now. She said the biggest difference is that when people ask you to do something in Illinois, is that people will ask if you want lunch. Here people ask if you want to go for a hike.

Today is the last day of the Good Neighbor Festival.
First up though was church. This is probably the closest to the front of church I have ever sat. I think outside of the people on the altar, I was the first one to get communion.
At the end of church, we sometimes have a discussion about something, and then it turns out we're the last ones there.
We went to the festival grounds around noon today. Kai is fascinated by the 3D printed crafts. He probably spent 30 minutes here.
At the carnival, we all went on the Tilt-a-Whirl.
Kai wanted me to go into the Fun Factory with him. I had never bee in there.
We also played the quarter game. It is the game where you put in a quarter and then as the bar pushes forward, you might win something.
We won a fish as well (when the ping-pong ball goes into a fish bowl).
After this, Kai wanted to go back on the Tilt-a-Whirl, but we lucked out when we saw Claire and Charlie from our neighborhood.
Another boy who we didn't know joined them on the ride. He seemed like a pro and had them whipping around.
After that, Kai and Claire went together on the G Force ride. I thought it was fun he could spend time with a friend. Claire was in his class the first two years of school, but will be with a different teacher this year.
That's all for our city festival in 2025.

Almost down to single digit days left to our Summer.
One thing that was on our list was Dolphin's Cove Waterpark in Sun Prairie. It is about a 35 minute drive to the east, but we had fun last year, and looking at the upcoming weather, this is our last good day (they are closed tomorrow or any day that looks cold). The high is about 75 degrees today. It is warm-ish enough when the sun is out, but cool when the clouds passed through.

Here are Kai and Heidi on the lazy river.
Kai liked this lily pad area. He could barely reach the rope this year, which made it easier for this to cross, with a little assistance from me.
Heidi and Kai were heading up to the top near the waterslide. It was kind of cool, but the water was 82 degrees, so Heidi was using it to warm up a little bit.

Kai and Heidi are at the far end of the pool There's a big TV if you ever want to watch something when you hang out at the pool.
Kai is going down the slide. This is the last thing he wanted to do before we left.
Some final pictures in his shark towel.
